Chef Nels Christensen and restaurateur Michael Wilkerson have officially launched their first concept under CW Hospitality: Primo’s.
Rooted in the warmth of family and the heartfelt passion of an Italian Nonna’s kitchen, Primo’s was born from a desire to create more than just a restaurant — it’s a place where guests truly feel at home. Every dish is crafted with the same love and intention that Nonna would bring to her own table.
At Primo’s, guests can expect exceptional food, expertly made drinks, and a spirit of hospitality that keeps them coming back.

Meet The Team Of Primo´s
NELS CHRISTENSEN, CHEF
San Antonio native, Nels, started his restaurant career in high school and was inspired to become a chef at 15. He trained at the California Culinary Academy and gained experience under award-winning chefs in San Francisco and Seattle. With a strong background in French, Italian, and barbecue cuisine, he’s held executive roles in top kitchens. Most recently, he was Chef Partner at Ida Claire, leading openings in San Antonio and Jacksonville.
MICHAEL WILKERSON, RESTAURANTEUR
Michael Wilkerson, born and raised in Carolina, Puerto Rico, was inspired by his mother’s hospitality career to begin working in hotels at 16. After graduating from Cornell’s Nolan School of Hotel Administration, he opened restaurants nationwide with Hyatt and LDV Hospitality before relocating to San Antonio, where he led Max’s Wine Dive and joined Front Burner.
